Mads Ritter Hansen

Scandinavian Coordinator
Languages: Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, English

Born and raised in Denmark in the provincial town of Oelstykke, near the capital of Copenhagen, after having lived for 12 years in Sweden, Mads relocated to Thailand in 2017, since which time he has been involved in the restaurant industry.

Mads has an extensive background in animal welfare, having cared for animals as both a zoo keeper and later a fish shop owner. Several years’ experience in corporate security, with G4S, was followed by 12 years working for the Danish Government in a cognitive development institution for young people with psychiatric disorders and mental illnesses. This challenging and difficult position helped Mads to develop the deep understanding and empathetic skills required to meet the individual needs of such individuals. Mads found this job very rewarding, making a great difference for people in need and helping vulnerable people to find a better way of living, traits which he hopes he brings to his position here at Bangkok Hospital Siriroj.

Mads speaks Danish, Swedish and Norwegian, as well as English, and is on hand to assist our Scandinavian and other international patients to coordinate your health related and other non-clinical needs.
